Boadicea

Depicted is my rendition of the Celtic Warrior Queen Boadicea(otherwise known as Boudica). Her story is a very interesting and tragic one. Boadicea was queen of the Iceni tribe, a Celtic tribe who led a failed uprising against the occupying forces of the Roman Empire around AD 60 - 61. She is considered a British national heroine and a symbol of the struggle for justice and independence.
